Ocean View Hotel

Rooms were small and fridges were packed with priced drinks. Would’ve loved some room in the fridge to be able to store leftovers or a few things of our own. Could be a little loud. Lots of construction around the hotel when we went. Valets were incredibly nice and super fast.

Exceptional customer service. Whitney and Ashlee are very welcoming and sweet. They made me feel right at home after a 20-hour journey. Location is also fantastic.

This hotel sets the gold standard for hospitality. I’ve stayed here multiple times for business, and they consistently exceed my expectations. Whether over the phone or in person, the staff is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond to ensure every need is met. Truly some of the best customer service I’ve experienced anywhere.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic—right near the Santa Monica Pier and in the heart of everything. What really set my stay apart, though, was the outstanding customer service from the very beginning. As soon as I pulled into the parking garage, the valet immediately noticed my handicap plates and, seeing my service dog and my son in a wheelchair, made sure I could keep the vehicle close for easier access. That thoughtful gesture set the tone for the whole visit. At the front desk, the staff were polite and welcoming, and Eva in particular went above and beyond. She came around to greet my son personally and gave a warm welcome to my service dog, which made us feel truly cared for. She worked with us to ensure our fourth room option was set up in a way that fit our needs, and when we unexpectedly had to extend our stay another night, she found us a room and arranged it so we didn’t have to go through the hassle of checking out at noon and waiting until 4 PM to check back in. Eva even helped with something as simple as utensils when our DoorDash delivery forgot to include them—grabbing some from the staff’s own supply to make sure we didn’t go without. It might seem small, but those little moments showed how dedicated she was to making our stay comfortable. This hotel already offers a great location and solid amenities, but the service—especially from Eva—took the experience to another level. I’d recommend the Ocean View Hotel to anyone visiting Santa Monica, especially if you want a place where the staff truly cares about your stay

My stay at Ocean View Hotel was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, always ready to help with a smile. Valet parking was super convenient, quick, secure, and hassle-free in a busy area. Best of all was the room with the stunning view of the Santa Monica Pier and ocean from the private balcony. Perfect location for beach vibes and pier fun also only about 40 minuets from the heart of the city. Highly recommend—5 stars!

Omg so much gratitude for this hotel. My daughter-in-law and son spend the day before and after their wedding at Ocean View and the staff could not have been more amazing! Their first room was 113 and in the morning of the wedding, their room was transformed into a glam room in minutes for the bride and her party with the help of their staff. We had not expected that and were blown away! The make up and hair artist had all she needed to get the bride ready and the bridesmaids also. They gave them a beautiful snack platter with flowers and balloons. They then upgraded them to an ocean view room as a gift. Again another gorgeous basket and flowers and balloon. It was simply amazing and made the day even more special and stress free. Thank you Theresa, Eva, Mario and Ashley and the housekeeping staff specially the 2 gentleman that moved a whole bed out of them room and brought in a big table. Wow! So amazed. This is an amazing hotel in an amazing location! Stay here! You will be very thankful you did!

Fantastic place. The most wonderful, super helpful and the friendliest people work here. Everyone, especially, Heidi, was super kind and helpful. Really sweet and hospitable. The location is great. Excellent service front desk was superb and Heidi really went out of her way to fix a goof I made on my accommodations, Thank you so much! I wanted to add that this hotel really has planned for every moment, including beach towel and Sand pail bags to take to the beach, all the toiletries you could ever need or maybe forgot to pack, they seem to have it covered, all the staff has been super friendly and helpful, housekeeping is great with fresh towels daily and endless coffee pods, the best!

Heidi made our entire vacation here a great experience; we cannot wait to return. I love when people in the hospitality business know what they’re doing and love what they’re doing. I’m a Santa Monica local, and my parents, who came to visit me from Israel, stayed here for 5 nights, 08/01/2025-08/06/2025. I helped them book their stay via Booking.com. The service is exceptional beyond what we expected. Heidi at the front desk did everything she could to ensure my parents would feel at home. The entire hotel staff is 10 out of 10.  My parents visited me for almost a month, and during this month, they stayed in three different hotels. The Ocean View hotel was the last one on the list, and they liked it the best. The price was reasonable. The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location with excellent customer service. This is precisely what you want your hotel to be: people come for the area, enjoy the cleanliness and comfort, and come back for the customer service& experience.

Location it supreme. Rooms are good even though the advertised chromecast/screen mirroring function isn’t working at all. No breakfast and fitness center is in a different partner hotel roughly 7mins down the street.
